Our Story
We didn't come from the industrial equipment world. We came from exactly where you are.
Turns out, so did thousands of other small businesses."
We Were You
Before Zap Labeler existed, we were running our own small manufacturing operation out of Southern Illinois. We were making a product, selling it, growing — and hitting a wall that every small producer eventually hits.
Labeling by hand was killing us. Crooked labels. Slow output. The kind of thing that makes a product look homemade when you're trying to look like a real brand. We needed a better way.
The affordable options were toys — plastic, inconsistent, not built for daily production. The professional options were priced for companies 10 times our size. There was nothing in the middle built for people like us.
So we built it ourselves. We machined the first Zap Labeler in our shop in Carbondale, Illinois. It worked. It worked well. And when other small business owners saw it, they wanted one too.
Why That History Matters to You
We're not a division of a large industrial conglomerate. We're not trying to upsell you into a system you don't need. We built this company from the same position you're in — trying to make something real, grow something sustainable, and not get crushed by overhead in the process.
That's why our machines are priced the way they are. That's why we pick up the phone when you call. That's why we build with steel and aluminum instead of cutting corners with plastic. We know what it costs when production goes down, because we've been there.
We're not selling to you. We're building for you — because we are you.
Who We Build For
If you make a physical product and you care about quality, consistency, and growing without gambling everything — you're exactly who Zap Labeler was built for.
Thousands of small businesses across the USA — and in over 30 countries — run Zap Labeler machines on their production lines. From garage operations doing 200 bottles a week to regional brands running multiple shifts. Same machine. Same support. Same people on the phone.
What We Stand For
Designed, machined, and assembled in Carbondale, Illinois. Not outsourced. Not drop-shipped from overseas. Built here, by us, because we believe in what we make.
Laser-cut steel and aluminum, not plastic. Our machines run in real production environments, on real schedules. We build them like they have to work every day — because yours does.
Call 800-617-5251 and you get a person, not a ticket system. We've supported machines that are over a decade old. When you're running production, downtime isn't an option — and neither is silence from your supplier.
